I came to Christ at a Billy Graham meeting c 1953 and attended Holmcroft Church, Bromley, until my late teens. After getting married, church slipped by, until 1976 when we moved into our own house in  Faringdon Ave, where Dr Berger had her surgery and she introduced me to Coppice mission church round the corner where I was baptized. I am still a member of that church and have seen quite a few pass through it on their way to the mission field,

Angela Short

Coming to Christ in July 1999, following the Lord’s prompting joined Coppice Community Church, with my husband, in January 2022.

Born locally I have always lived and worked in the Borough and have had the privilege of raising two beautiful sons here too.

Following a 30+ year career in local government my time is now offered voluntarily, predominantly around homelessness and other social action issues, working closely with churches under the banner of Transform Bromley Brough (TBB). TBB represents a number of churches based within the London Borough of Bromley who have chosen to work together on a relational basis.

I seek to express my faith in very practical ways and am passionate about enabling opportunity for every individual to fulfill their potential.

When I was growing up I never went to church, my family were not church-goers either. It wasn’t till my teens I went to a church with my step-sister, to a very lively church in Kennington, South London. But that didn’t last long although, I am sure I found the love of the Lord there, I didn’t continue to go after meeting my now, husband.

Fast forward a few years and two children later I was introduced to Coppice Mission Church, as it was then called, and I am sure our God was saying, ‘lovely to see you again Donna!’ Coppice Church felt like the place where I should be.

I started going regularly, even doing Sunday School for the children as well as running the mother and toddler group for a few years! With my son being added to our family and my Christian family at church, I felt at home at Coppice.

I was inspired to pick up the guitar and learn to play and now play every Sunday at church.
